(February 14, 2010) From Chris Bell (Sheehy): "I think this is probably the easiest way to get a message to our hand dance friends. Herbie and I took a much needed break from all this snow and flew to Las Vegas for 4 nights. We finally took the leap and were married on Thursday the 11th at the Chapel of the "Bells" in Las Vegas to a lovely small ceremony with Diana and Julene as our witnesses/ring bearers. They happened to be going the same week so we coordinated it to have them there to be a part of our wedding.  Hope to see you soon somewhere on the dance floor!!"

(February 13, 2010) Tommy-D has asked us to let everyone know that he will be coming back this week and will be playing at Tuckers this coming Friday night.

 

(February 7, 2010) MMATB T-Shirts - Because of the feedback the Board received from the membership, we selected different gifts for that event.  However, many of you still want your yearly MMATB T-shirt.  So you can order one - see any Board member at our venues for your order form.  Complete the order form, the T-shirt will cost $7, return the completed form with your payment to a Board member and your T-shirt will be waiting for you at MMATB.  The deadline for ordering is February 13th, our Valentine Dance.  So if you don't order before then, the dance will be your last opportunity. SUNDAY 2/21/2010  ADVANCE HAND DANCE WORKSHOP-Mike Chucci will hold an Advance Workshop at the CoCo Cabana, 4 - 5. Please have a partner.

SUNDAY 2/28/2010 SPECIAL DANCE WORKSHOP with A GUEST INSTRUCTOR, FIGGY,will hold a special hand dance workshop at the CoCo CABANA from 4-5pm.

COCONUT JOE'S: We're dancing on Thursday nights!  COCONUT JOE'S (The old Riptides, has a new face lift)
Starting Thursday, January 14, 2010 we are dancing at Coconut Joe's, 48 South River Road, Edgewater, MD, 443-837-6057.  We danced here last year when it was Riptides, the owners of Mango's have taken it over and spent a lot of money giving it a face lift.  We dance at 7:00, if all goes well, we will start dance lessons at 6:00 after a few weeks.  NO COVER! 1/2 price bottles of wine, food specials & we'll be dancing on the hard wood floor. Join us on the 14th - Thursday night at 7:00 - come early to enjoy their food - let's show our support for this new venue!

WHISPERS:  They are offering a buffet special - all you can eat; Coors Light, Yuengling beer; wine or rail drinks for $15.00 (includes your $5.00 cover).  Lessons start at 6:30 and Dancing starts at 7:30.  If we want to continue dancing at Whispers then we need to support Whispers!  Great location, lots of parking and a great dance floor!
